Product Details

Lunar calendars for 2026 featuring the beloved oriental poppy and the hummingbird moth.

Poppies have long been linked with sleep and dreams. In Greek mythology, it was the poppy that Demeter relied on to bring her into a deep slumber to forget about the pain of losing Persephone to Hades. Thanatos, the god of death, and Nyx, the goddess of the night were also illustrated using poppies in their crowns and bouquets, as the poppy could bring not only a deep sleep, but an everlasting one as well depending on the dose. Once again we are reminded that the difference between a medicine and a poison is in the dose...

Moths, with their short lifespans and affinity for nighttime, always remind us of the fragility of it all. Everything works in a cycles, and our lives as humans are just a series of cycles of shedding and rebirth. It's necessary to retreat into our cocoons once in a while, so that we may alchemize and emerge anew. Moths spend about 4 weeks as a caterpillar before their transformation, or one moon cycle. Let us remember how much we can absorb, learn, and grow in just one moon cycle. With every cycle, take a moment to reflect on what you would like to bring with you into your next cocoon phase, and what you will leave behind as you emerge.

::Printed on 11x17" matte cardstock::

:: Please allow 2 weeks for processing- Calendars are made in small batches to ensure I don't overprint. I use a small, local print shop, so please be patient with us and remember that these are printed and shipped with the utmost love and care! ::

**These are based on the moon cycles for those of us in North America, specifically on the east coast. Keep in mind the few hours difference between coasts can dictate what day the full moon "technically" falls on, but know that the energy of a full moon is palpable for a couple of days before and after. **
