This painting was an exploration into the 2025 Pantone color of the year, Mocha Mousse. Initially, the color choice was a disappointment to me as it felt too safe. But I wanted to explore how these neutral colors can be used to let other colors really shine. In this instance, chartreuse and shades of pink are able to both play off of each other, and also tie into each other because of the neutral, warm background color.
